I got a lot of curatin’ to do

Small Tweaks
I’ve noticed that some of the new art that is being uploaded doesn’t have the ‘correct’ year entered. Sometimes people will enter the birth and death date of the artist and sometimes I think it’s just overlooked. Here’s how it looked before:
And here’s how it looks now:

We’ll see how that goes.I also added a little clarification on the homepage. I’ve gotten some comments that they frontpage “tour images” weren’t really effective. We’ll see if this helps.

New URLs and new Ads
I’ve been playing around with our URLs and I’ve come up with some new ones.
Like guess where these might go:
http://www.circastudy.com/leonardo-da-vinci
http://www.circastudy.com/leonardo-da-vinci/266-mona-lisa-la-gioconda
Pretty cool huh?
I’m also playing around with some ad’s from art.com
I think I’ve managed to get them as unobtrusive as possible, for example this is how they look on a single-slide screen.

I think we can deal with that.
What do you guys think about the URLs and the Ads?
A little update
Just tightening things up a little bit visually.I’ve also eliminated “login names”. Now you only need to provide an email address and a password to create an account and to login.
Design for necessity
I want to genuinely thank Adam Malliet for uploading this photo to CircaStudy yesterday.

It has required me to build and deploy a moderation system that I had planned to do, but probably would have gotten around to a lot later had it not been for him. This is part of the reason I deployed v0.1 of the site, it has helped me figure out what’s important to people trying to use the site.
..now I just hope that nobody forgets their password before I build that part out.
Update: v0.2
Not many of you were around for v0.1, lucky for you, but I’ve gone ahead and pushed v0.2. Let me know what you think.
